Company

Mission

Our goal is to build an interconnected financial ecosystem by integrating different players in the financial services industry into one single platform - 4wrd.

Purpose

FinConecta introduces a holistic approach to digital transformation by offering both technology and knowledge solutions to support financial institutions at every step of their digital transformation journey.

FIs wishing to embrace the digital world need to partner with FinTech companies. Finding, selecting and integrating FinTech services is the weakest link in this equation.

FinConecta Model

FinConecta matches Financial Institutions (FIs) with Digital Financial Service Businesses (FinTechs) from all over the world by integrating them into one single platform (4wrd). FinConecta enables a “plug and play” marketplace, where pre-validated FinTechs offer their services to integrated FIs through 4wrd.

4wrd main benefits

  • Launch applications up to 10 times faster than on their own!
  • FinTechs deploy services worldwide with a single integration
  • FI’s corporate and retail customers gain quick access to digital services

Story behind our name

Our story begins in 2016, when we first started our business and called it “above and beyond” with the intention of showing our view of the future of the financial landscape, above and beyond technology.

Later that year, we presented the initiative of creating a worldwide interconnected ecosystem composed of financial institutions and fintechs to IDB. FOMIN, now known as IDB Lab, analyzed the proposal and quickly supported it due to the positive impact that it presented to modernize the financial industry in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Things started to move quickly and by the end of January 2017 we launched a program for LAC called “Finconecta”. This program had the goal of promoting partnerships and integration amongst Financial Institutions in the region with Fintechs from around the world.

The program was very successful and led to similar worldwide initiatives such as “Finforward,” a program in partnership with the FMO, which targets the African region.

At the beginning of 2018, we went through a rebranding exercise that came to a strong conclusion: the one name that best represents our mission and the interconnected financial marketplace we have built is “FinConecta”.

We then decided to change our commercial name from “above and beyond” to FinConecta, keeping our legal name as AANDB Tech, inc. Once more we want to thank the IDB team for believing in us and their active participation behind the brainstorming for the name of the program which later became our super signature brand “FinConecta”.
